Window tinting
As dark as allowed
From a light tint to almost blacked out. Less heat and glare in the car, and what is in the back cannot be seen from outside.
Slide and see how dark it gets
The percentage is how much light still gets through. The lower, the darker.
What is allowed in the Netherlands
- Windscreen and front side windows
At least 55 percent
Glass and film together must let through at least 55 percent of light. A light tint is possible, dark is not.
- Behind the B-pillar
As dark as you like
Rear side windows and rear window can be dark, as long as the car has a door mirror on both sides.
