Privacy
Wrap Destination wraps, tints and protects cars in its workshop in Cruquius. On this page you can read which data we receive from you, what we do with it and how long we keep it. In short: we only use your data to answer your request and to help with your car.
Which data
- What you send us yourself when you request a quote, message us on WhatsApp, email or call: your name, phone number or email address, the make and model of your car, the service and film you are looking for and your question or comment.
- Photos of your car that you send us via WhatsApp or email.
- A photo you use in the Wrap Preview. We only use it to create the preview of your car in a different film.
What for
To send you a price and a proposal, to make an appointment and to carry out the job. We do not send you a newsletter or advertising, unless you ask for it yourself. We do not sell your data.
The Wrap Preview
If you use your own photo, we send it to Replicate, an AI service in the United States that places your car in our studio, recognises the parts and creates the final result. Replicate only processes the photo to create the preview and deletes the generated images after about an hour. We do not store your photo. Transfer to the US takes place under the arrangements that apply for this in the EU (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). If you choose one of our example cars, we do not process any photo of yours.
WhatsApp and email
If you send us a message via WhatsApp, it goes through WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta. WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy also apply to this. If you choose email, your own email program opens and you send the request to info@wrapd.nl yourself.
How long
Requests that do not lead to a job are deleted within a year. We keep customer data for as long as it is needed for the warranty and for as long as the law requires it for our accounts (for invoices that is seven years).
This website
We do not place cookies to track you and we do not use advertising services. To see which pages and buttons are used, we count visits and clicks without cookies and without storing anything in your browser: with Vercel Web Analytics and our own count. From your internet address and browser we create an untraceable code per day, so we can count visitors but cannot recognise anyone; tomorrow you are someone else to us. We do not store the address itself. The count is stored with Supabase in the EU. If you request a quote, it gets a reference (WD-…) so we know the request came through the site; your name and contact details only reach us via WhatsApp or email, not that count. The site is hosted by Vercel, which, like any hosting provider, keeps technical data such as your IP address in log files for a short time. The fonts come from Google Fonts and the video and preview images from an image server (CloudFront from Amazon), which means your browser connects to those services. To prevent misuse of the Wrap Preview, we count per day how many photos are created from an internet address. We do not store that address ourselves, only an untraceable code that we generate from it with a secret key (pseudonymised). That code is stored with Upstash and disappears after 24 hours.
Your rights
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we will take care of it. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
